I get to watch television for a living!  (How awesome!)   My mom used to nag at me about how unhealthy it was when I finished reading the Lord of the Ring series in 3 days, sitting at the desk day and night except time for meals and bathroom. Yet this time, I had a good excuse to continuously enjoy program after program.  I have been working on cutting the content for BET’s Lift Every Voice show for Dot Com.  (That’s BET.com)

We need to cut out certain elements for copyright reasons and simplify the segments into one a single artist format.   Thanks to music companies’ strict policies on music videos, I got the chance to watch and cut (play with) these shows on Final Cut. There have been many talented performers and celebrities visiting the show as guests, such as Bill Bellamy, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Kenny Lattimore, and Al Sharpton. Check out their exclusives on LEV’s website you will see some of my handiwork posted there!

After a week’s exploration of Final Cut Pro, now I feel it’s a really useful and user-friendly, personal opinion, software for post-production fellows. Thus, here comes my a bit late lunar Chinese New Year resolution and that is to walk away with skills of Final Cut Pro as many as possible by the end of this internship!
