The offices of RedEye Post can be viewed as quite hectic this week. While working on various projects, one in particular has got us milking for time! Get Government Out of My Milk is a 30 second commercial spot about milk prices inspired by the 1937 bureaucracy created to establish and enforce milk prices.

Shot as a satire, the commercial begins with a husband and wife discussing how the government seems to be everywhere. Suddenly looking down, the wife notices a bureaucrat swimming in her milk. Allowing us to have a visual depiction of the 1937 bureaucracy.

A fun video to edit, but here’s the catch. While editing the piece on Wednesday, we were told that we should have the video complete and ready for air by the following Tuesday. In the world of editing, this is a huge time crunch! We had to factor in digitizing, labeling, sorting through identical shots to choose the best quality and then editing the tracks together. After our work, we must ship it to our client and wait for approval or complete changes needed.

No worries. The team here at RedEye will get the job done. With teamwork, intelligence and laughter we’ll have the video shipped away in no time.

Be sure to look out for the commercial on a DMV channel near you!
